Shuka is one of a diverse group of restaurants operated by the Bowery Group, whose commitment to greenmarket ingredients, independent farms, and excellent hospitality drives an exciting menu and convivial atmosphere. Led by Chef/Partner Ayesha Nurdjaja, Shuka offers her unique interpretation of the cuisine of North Africa and the Middle East that packs multi-layered, nuanced flavor into every bite. Chef Ayesha’s vegetable-forward menu -- and the Shuka vibe -- is all about the joy of sharing great food with great friends.

Known for their commitment to sourcing locally, seasonally and sustainably, owners Marc Meyer, Vicki Freeman & Chris Paraskevaides have been pioneers in the New York City restaurant scene for over 18 years. Together they operate Cookshop, Vic’s, Rosie’s, and Shuka.
