About Babe Farms

With deep familial and agricultural roots in Santa Maria Valley, Will Souza established Babe Farms in the area after being inspired by the popularity of European baby-sized fresh produce during his travels abroad in 1986. Babe Farms continues to be a family style farming operation, owned and operated by one of the original partners, Judy Lundberg, and her son Jeff. All of the company's creative packs of specialty vegetables, signature salad blends and baby head lettuces, are hand-harvested to order everyday for both the retail and foodservice trades.

This company was founded by a group of tough- minded visionaries who took a big risk on growing specialty vegetables nobody had really heard of back in the early 1980s.
