Rosie's, New York, NY

Nixtamal for all!

About Rosie's

Rosie's is a restaurant that sits on a busy corner in the East Village of New York City. A seemingly unlikely location for a restaurant that takes its inspiration from a country steeped in mystery, tragedy and deep tradition. Attempting to synthesize all that Mexican food is, has left us stateside with one cliché after another. Which has turned a world class cuisine into drive-through fast food.

Rosie's represents a desire to respect the food that has been built on generations of agriculture, history and a multitude of traditions. We've taken a sliver of this vast culinary history and tailored it to fit a place that embodies the hospitality and culinary ethos that the Bowery Group of restaurants are built on. Sourcing the best seasonal ingredients possible; supporting small organic farmers growing landrace corn in Oaxaca; hand made tortillas daily from nixtamal; an extensive list of small producer mezcals---all in a fun accessible environment where all are welcome.
